General Information

Mrs. Dovel will be closely monitoring each student to make sure they have completed all courses required for graduation

The welding classes will continue at FPC during regular time on April 6 with certain, strict guidelines to follow. WE will get in touch with the Welding students about this.

All EOC exams are cancelled for this year. No one will be required to take these exams this year.

We are going to provide learning opportunities so that we minimize how much students may fall behind.

We are going to do our best to be able to have all of the normal activities like this. However, we cannot promise that we will still be able to have them. We will follow all recommendations from the President, the Governor, the CDC, etc. The health, safety, and well-being of all of our students is the ultimate priority.

We will do our best to provide learning opportunities for our students. As of right now, we will have to make additional adjustments in several classes, especially our CTE courses.

We will do our best to continue all activities as normal but there will likely be activities that will be postponed or cancelled.

This six weeks will be over on April 2nd. Teachers will look at any missing work that students may have prior to Spring Break. They will also look for any tests that some students will need to take. School work will be offered in a variety of ways including via email and online.

At this time I cannot answer this question. I honestly do not know. We get information daily from the Commissioner of Education and hopefully we will get an answer soon. As soon as I do know for sure, I will let everyone know.

Students who have been assigned to DAEP will have the same opportunities with their work as all other students. All students, at this time, are not to be on campus at all unless arrangements are made. Students who are in DAEP should not be on campus at any time until further notice. The situation we are dealing with right now changes often so it is possible that we go back to a normal school routine. In this case, students who are assigned to DAEP may resume their assignment in DAEP. It is also possible that this cancellations may be for a longer time or for the remainder of the semester. We would then evaluate the DAEP assignments on a case-by-case basis

Students will need ot complete their 30 Hour requirement and make sure that parents sign. Coach Christopher will send a Remind message to all of his students with information about this.

Yes. Parents are encouraged to stay in contact with their child’s teachers either by email or by phone.

Right now all schools in Texas are closed through April 3. This is an ever-changing situation and it is possible that this date could be extended.

We will do everything possible to be able to have our graduation ceremony. To be honest and upfront, it is possible that we may have to cancel or postpone it, but that will only be as a last resort. We must follow all directives from the state and federal government and the CDC as it pertains to events with groups over 50 persons.

Yes. We will be in touch with these students and their parents regarding credit recovery.

We understand that this may be an issue for some students and families and we will make accommodations for this. Teachers have begun working on this already.

We will begin on March 30. Dual credit students will start at the same time as the students from Frank Phillips and Amarillo College start with the online classes

It will be different from Plato. Plato will still be used but only for Credit Recovery.
