Dalhart ISD Board of Trustees

"Governing the school district is the primary role of a school board. School board members are guardians of the public trust and, through the policies they make, are ultimately responsible for the success or failure of local public education. These policies dictate the standards and philosophy by which schools are run and the criteria used to judge whether they are being run well. The board serves as the advocate for educational excellence for the community’s youth and puts those interests first." - Texas Association of School Boards

Watch for up coming Listening Tours and other community engagement opportunities. Our Regular Board Meetings are typically scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the DISD Administration building beginning at 6pm. Agendas will be posted prior to the meeting.
PLEASE NOTE: Dalhart ISD welcomes input from citizens as community involvement fosters better decision making and improved learning experiences for all students. While comments and questions are welcome during Open Forum, law prohibits the Board from discussing concerns about individual employees or students in a public meeting. We will stop the proceedings immediately if employee or student privacy issues are raised and direct the speaker to forward comments regarding individual employees or students to the superintendent.
Our formal grievance process is outlined in Board Policy and can be found here.
