Principal's Message

Welcome to Dalhart Intermediate School!

Photo of Misty Heiskell, DIS PrincipalThe teachers and staff at DIS are dedicated to serving your children. We are here to help ensure that your child gets the best education possible. However, to do this, we will need your support. It takes all of us working together to ensure students are successful in school. I encourage you to get involved in your child's education. If you have concerns, please let your teacher know. You are welcome to set up parent conferences to discuss issues and concerns regarding your child's education at any time.

I encourage you to sign up for our Remind Alerts and Class Dojo; these can be sent to your phone as text messages or sent to your email. These alerts will keep you informed of upcoming events at the school, and important information that you might need to know. For information on Remind and how to sign up, check out the Parent Resources and Forms under the Parent section.  To sign up for Class Dojo, please contact your child’s teacher.  You may also want to follow DIS on Facebook too!

I also encourage you to get involved with our Parent Teacher Organization, or volunteer for various committees on our campus throughout the year.

As a reminder: Please keep the office and your child's teacher updated on changes in your address and/or phone number.

It's going to be a great year! I look forward to meeting you and working with you to ensure that your child has a fun, successful year in school.

I look forward to working with you and your student this year.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 806-244-7388, or by email at misty.heiskell@dalhartisd.org.
